4 tips for dealing with pre-trip stress

Do you ever get stressed out the day before a trip?

It's completely normal and here are 4 tips to help manage it.

First, understand that it's the unknown that's stressing you out, not the actual trip.

1. Google all the details about where you're going so you know what to expect.
  • Check out YouTube and social media for restaurants and recommendations for activities. It's better to be overprepared because that'll help ease any worries.

2. Make a list of what you need to pack a few days before the trip, and make sure to pack ahead of time (not the night before!).
  • Knowing exactly what you need to pack will help so you don't have to worry about forgetting anything.

3. Bring your fidget ring so you have something familiar with you at all times.
  • When you go somewhere new, having something familiar with you can really make a difference.

4. If it's hard to sleep in a hotel because it's an unfamiliar place, try chamomile tea (most hotels have some in the room).
  • This tea helps you relax and sleep better.

When you look back at this trip, you're going to remember it being a blast. So go easy on yourself and try to enjoy it.
