What is a "panic pack"?

It's basically a bag you bring when you travel that contains a few items to help you stay grounded.

Pick things that relate to the 5 senses: sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. Here's what's in our panic pack:

Fidget ring (touch):
This gives you something tactile to touch when you're stressed. They're also great travel rings if you don't like to take your sentimental jewelry on trips. Our favorite travel ring is the Enchant fidget ring.

Hand sanitizer or lotion (smell):
Pick one that smells good. Focusing on the smell can help bring you back to the present moment

Gum or mints (taste):
Simply focusing on the taste of the gum or mint can help you get grounded (just make sure it's sugar-free). Sugar is one of those foods to avoid when you're feeling stressed because it can actually make you more anxious.

Headphones (hear):
To listen to a podcast or music when you need it

Small journal and pen (see):
Bring a small journal that fits in your bag and prepare a few journal prompts ahead of time. Focusing on what you're writing can help you get grounded.

These may all sound like simple items, but noticing the little things is a great way to get grounded no matter where you are.

What's something you'd bring in your panic pack?
