What to expect when you start prioritizing your self-care

When you start prioritizing your self-care, you'll notice these 3 things.

A year from now, you're going to look back and be so proud of the person you've become.

Even if it's small things like taking a 10-minute walk every day or reading once a week, it adds up.
By the end of the year, you'll have walked a lot and even read multiple books.

Setting time aside to prioritize your self-care helps you become a better version of yourself.

You'll notice that you're more self-aware and confident.

When you dedicate time to yourself, you'll have a chance to reflect on what you really want.

Your confidence is going to increase because you'll understand your needs.

I found that it became easier to set boundaries and make decisions that feel right.

Breaking old habits isn't easy, so be patient with yourself.

If you've decided to stop picking your cuticles as part of your self-care, it's not going to happen overnight.

It didn't for me.

Stay committed, knowing that it's going to take a few tries to break the habit, but you're worth it.

A few quick self-care ideas you can start today:

  • Go for a walk around your neighborhood. 10 minutes of walking is better than 0 minutes.
  • Disconnect for 30 minutes (take a break from your phone and computer).
  • Read your favorite book for a few minutes.
  • Spend some extra time playing with your pets.
  • Reach out to a loved one for a quick phone call.

We'd love to hear about your experience.
